This flavorful IPA is not what one would expect from looking at the statistics. A dank and piney aroma introduces a tingling bitter which is quickly replaced with a smooth citrus flavor. All Summit hops create a wisp of chives before a lingering pine finish. This high-gravity beer is astonishingly easy to drink and difficult to refuse a second.
Award winning and brewed every year with limited availability, Old Stock Ale weighs in at 11.9% abv and a smooth 34 IBU. Like a fine port, Old Stock Ale is intended to be laid down. With an original gravity of over 1.100 and a generous hopping rate, Old Stock Ale is well-designed to round out and mellow with age. It’s brewed with classic Maris Otter malt and Fuggles and East Kent Goldings hops, all imported from England.
